WHAT: A TL6 BrikWars game utilizing
the Supernatural Powers Supplement. While this is about as advanced as
BrikWars gets, I have absolutely no problem volunteering ungodly amounts
of Shaun's and Dave's time to help anyone get up to speed. Seriously,
don't be intimidated, your team will be more than willing to help you out.
It's all about fun. And mayhem.
WHERE: Jonathan's, Arlington, MA. WHEN: Saturday, June 11, 2005. WHY: Because we like you. Not really. It's been over 2 years since the first superhero game and only now are people able to talk about it. HOW: The teams have slightly different options. For players on TEAM, they must create a superhero as a hero-class unit (no champions). Each player's budget is 55 CP and you may use some of that to purchase a *single* sidekick unit. Sidekicks can only be of the following types: Troopers
Furthermore, Sidekicks can only have up to "x2"
modifications made to him/her/it (like Fleet Feet x2) and cannot have SP.
For players on The Vitiate, you will have one really big decision to make up front. You can either have each player create a single hero-class villain with a budget of 55 CP, just like TEAM, though no sidekicks are allowed - OR -
You, as a team, can have a single champion-class unit and a
horde of minions. Under this option, you are allowed a super villain
budget of 70CP. The minion budget will be calculated as ([# of players on
TEAM] * 55) - 70. The minion budget can be spent on troops, weapons and
vehicles, however, the troop types of minions are limited to:
Troopers
Combined fire is not necessary as Hit Points will be used.
While the entire minion budget may be spent on troopers of some kind,
should a large number of units be produced, then minions *must* operate in
squads of 5 (move & attack), utilizing a single roll for all of their
actions. Only damage would be rolled separately. Lastly, minions are
limited to a "x2" on any improvements (like Fleet Feet x2).
LOCALE: The hustle and bustle of a large
city's downtown. We need buildings of all shapes and sizes, preferably
with either accessible interiors or break-away exteriors, that you might
find in a large city. We totally need a police station. Build, build, build!
CHARACTER CREATION: Like last time, try to
create a storyline for your character. Again, once the teams are decided,
it will be easier for people to figure out what they are doing in this
regard. If you're new to the game, your fellow teammates will help
you build a character.
CLARIFICATIONS: 1. Under section SP.1.3 When Supernatural Effects Fail, we are absolutely not going to use item # 3, Fumble! If you think we should use # 1 and/or # 2, bring it up, though keep in mind they don't necessarily affect all players.
2. The most you can have in any given stat
for any unit is a +3. All other values must be converted to one or more
dice. So a 1d6+4 must be converted to a 2d6, for example.
3. All die conversions (see the second item) must
be done before you convert to Hit Points. Hit Points
are simply calculated by ROUND DOWN( AV * 3 ).
4. The "Edit-Undo" effect described in section
SP.2.2 Duration will not be allowed, though the ability to heal as
described in that section is. In other words, undoing a players actions
of "n" turns ago will not be allowed, but you potentially can "heal" a
unit that was killed "n" turns ago. If you would like to place a limit
on how large "n" can be, throw it out there.
